Many insurance companies are beginning to include acupuncture coverage. It is important to note that all insurance policies are different in terms of benefits and coverage. If you’d like for us to verify your insurance benefits, please contact us with your insurance information and our billing department will be happy to verify your coverage for you.
We are currently in-network with the following insurance providers:
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX)
UnitedHealthcare
- Baylor Scott & White Health Plan
For patients with other PPO insurance plans, I am considered an out-of-network provider. We don’t bill insurance directly for out-of-network plans. However, we’re happy to provide a superbill — a detailed receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Payment is due at the time of service, and reimbursement will depend on your individual plan’s out-of-network benefits.
We recommend calling your insurance provider in advance to ask:
Do I have out-of-network acupuncture benefits?
Is a referral or pre-authorization required?
What percentage will be reimbursed?
Do I have a deductible, and how much of it has been met?
